We had a wonderful Easter. The community we live in has an awesome Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning and even with the cold weather and rain the kids had a great time. Then on Sunday (after a visit from the Easter bunny) we went up to Salem to spend the day with Maureen, Jon, and Maurnee. We are so grateful to be close to some of our wonderful family!
It took Benson a minute to figure out the he was suppose to pick up the eggs but when he did he had a great time. He had an even better time when he figured out that the eggs had candy in them.
Ava and Natalie both new exaclty what to do but Jut and I laughed at how many eggs they would run past before they picked one up.
Lexie got the biggest haul and she was so wonderful to share a prize with each of her sisters. She was the only one to get any prize eggs and she ended up with 6 of them. (some of the eggs have slips of paper that can be turned in for prizes) All the kids had a great time and because of the weather they had a little more elbow room them in years past.
The Easter bunny made a quick visit to our house this year, nothing to big but he remembered the important things, candy!
All the kids loved their treats but every year I am surprised when I am the only one who will eat the peeps. Lexie did decided they are edible this year, so I finally have one child who has joined me on the pro peeps side but Justin still has the majority of the family firmly in his camp. Benson wouldn't even eat them, I guess not all sugar is equal.
This was the fruit pizza I made for our Easter dinner, it was yum!
