Two Of My Favorite Things

This pair of pajamas is just so adorable. I love the Children's Place pj's and they make my little man look so cute. This pair cost me 98 cents (which makes them even better) and every time I see him in them it reminds me of candy corn. He is my sweet little boy and he is growing up way too fast.

Jut surprised me with this beautiful bouquet of roses with last Friday. He doesn't do it often but when he does, it is usually for no special reason. I am counting them as an early anniversary/valentine treat. I have an amazing husband and I am so grateful for him. Thanks for 12 wonderful years Babe.

Natalie, Our "Little Miss Accident"

We have four children and over the years we have been very fortunate to only have had two broken bones and one set of stitches. The problem with those statistics is the fact that all three injuries happened to the same child. Natalie is our "Little Miss Accident". She is so active and full of life, nothing slows her down. This is a great attribute but so far it has also been a painful one. About 3 1/2 weeks ago (yes I know I am behind) Jut and the kids were trying their hand at acrobatics when Natalie fell wrong on her hand and began to scream. Both Jut and I knew that it was more than a bump but there was no visible injury or swelling and since it was Sunday evening we put some ice on it and decided to wait until morning to decided if she needed an x-ray. Her arm was a little swollen and she was still in pain so we went in to the doctor. The pictures showed that she had buckle fractures in both her radius and ulna just above the wrist. After a few days of wearing a splint to let the swelling subside, we went back in for a cast. She wore the cast for three weeks and she has to wear the split at school for another three days. She has been a real trooper and has, for the most part, refrained from using her cast as a weapon.

Student of the Month

In January Alexis was selected as Student of the Month for the Harrisburg Elementary School. She was honored at the school board meeting and her picture was in the local paper. We don't have any pictures of the momentous event (the camera battery was dead) but we did get some video.



This was the blurb that her teacher wrote for the local paper:

Alexis comes to school with a smile each morning. She is concerned over the welfare of her classmates and is always willing to help them when asked. Alexis patiently listens to her peers and respects their opinions. She is organized and prepared on a daily basis and always completes her school work. Harrisburg Elementary is quite proud to have Alexis as one of our students.
